Moving of Cars

When moving to the Netherlands, you should register your car with the local authorities within six months of your arrival. Your car must pass a mechanical and safety test.

You are required to pay road tax every three months in the Netherlands. Your car requires Dutch registration plates, for which it must pass an inspection.
